Photography Tips

Everyone says it’s good luck when it rains on their wedding day. However
, if you are the wedding photographer, you may be sweating gout to make sure that your partner has as many fantastic images as if it were a sunny day. What the couple wants is to have spectacular photos and more specifically fantastic photos on the outside as well as the photographer, how to achieve what seems to be unattainable? It’s not as difficult as you might think – here are some tips from our wedding photographers friends in the rain.

1. Be prepared
That means, do not believe 100 percent in the weather forecast. If you see that the rain is in the forecast, even for a day before or a day after, you have to be prepared and do an investigation. Find places where you can take the boyfriend and girlfriend, abroad. Think of opportunities like doors, under bridges, under big trees. These places will offer a beautiful backdrop and keep your couple dry.

2. Use umbrellas
You do not have to hide the fact that it is raining on the couple’s wedding day. Talk to them about the possibility of getting some matching umbrellas. Play with umbrellas. Change your perspective with photos including umbrellas. You take towards the umbrellas or that they appear in a small portion of the picture.

3. Protect your equipment
Most camera equipment is water resistant; this does not mean that it is submersible in water. There is a big difference. There are a lot of devices and products to help you protect the body of the camera and the lenses. Here are some other ideas, when photographing your partner either your assistant or even someone from the party who puts an umbrella on you and the team. You can not handle an umbrella and a camera at the same time. If you are in a hurry, use a plastic bag (ziplock or something like that) to protect your equipment. I usually cut a hole in the pocket and pass the camera through it. It is not ideal, but it has saved me a couple of times.
